For this new piece we started with a questioning: can the authenticity of a gesture still provoke an emotion at the era of superficial physical performances and multiplication of ostentatious images? We wanted to portray a gesture as something unique: a moment when time stands still and our entire attention is held captive – sensorial ec-stasis through movement. This is what we aimed to capture. What is in movement, what happens when a gesture feels right and resonates deeply? No.thing proposes a physical dance, tender and powerful, inherent to the style of the company. We were looking for pure writings, this is why we chose a score of Hildur Gudnadottir (without sinking), and we worked on a very simple concept for stage set and lights. The dancers followed us throughout this quest, this desire for nothing – a place of attentiveness, sharing, echoes, where nothing may, in fact, be everything. Katarzyna Gdaniec and Marco Cantalupo
