About the concept:
Between takes its shape and draws inspiration from the unconventional repurposing of a common building material, plasterboard, that is used to construct interior walls whose pastel colours and fragility contrast with its purpose, the erection of separations.
Through this mean, Between questions the issue of borders, the dynamic of inclusion/exclusion, which may be symptomatic of the Balkans region, and responds with a mix cast of Swiss, Kosovan and Albanian dancers by deconstructing, disarticulating, but also by recomposingbodies and matter.

Albanian dancers at Compagnie Linga: a choreographic experience program in Switzerland

Compagnie Linga has been developing multiple projects in the Albanian and Kosovan contemporary dance scene for fifteen years with ADM Albania Dance Meeting Director and UniversitetiiArteve GjergjPrevazi’s support, and went touring in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2016.
Following the first part of the Tirana <===> Pully project launched last year, Company Linga will invite 4 Albanian dancers for a two-weeks residence in the company studio at L’Octogone, Théâtre de Pully in september 2018.
The objective of this second residence is to carry on the work started in 2017 and create an evening performance (approx. 60min), Between, which will gather a mix cast of 4 Albanian and 2 Linga’s dancers.
The performance Between will be first presented in Geneva with the collaboration / sponsorship of the UniversitéPopulaireAlbanaise Genève, secondly in studio of the company in Pully/Lausanne, and then within the International Albanian Dance Meeting Festival (www.dancealbfest.com/).
Kompania Linga ka zhvilluar projekte të shumta në skenën e dansit bashkëkohor shqiptar dhe kosovar, prej pesëmbëdhjetë vitesh me drejtorin artistik të Albania Dance Meeting z. Gjergj Prevazi dhe mbështetjen e Universitetit të Arteve, perfshirë turne në 2003, 2004, 2008, 2010 dhe 2016.
Duke ndjekur pjesën e parë të projktit Tirana-Pully që filloi vitin e kaluar, kompania Linga ftoi ftojë 4 kercimtarë shqiptarë për një qëndrim dy-javësh në studio të kompanisë në L'Octogone, Teatri de Pully në shtator 2018.
Pas pjesës së parë të projektit Tiranë-Pully, qëllimi i kësaj residence të dytë ishte të vazhdojë punën e filluar në vitin 2017 dhe të krijojë shfaqjen Between (Ndermjet) rreth 60 minuta, e cila do të mbledhë një përzgjedhje kasti prej 4 kercimtarëve shqiptarë dhe 2 të kompanisë Linga.
Performanca Between u prezantua së pari në Gjenevë me bashkëpunimin / sponsorizimin e UniversitéPopulaireAlbanaise Genève, së dyti në studio të kompanisë në Pully / Lausanne, dhe pastaj vjen në Festivalin Ndërkombëtar Albania Dance Meeting (www.dancealbfest.com/).
