“The
general of the dead army” ballet, based on the novel with the
same title written by Ismail Kadare, comes through a new choreographic,
scenic, and spatial approach.
Under the patronage of Prof. Zhani Ciko, chief director of the National
Opera and Ballet Theatre, the ballet had come through a new editing
look. The music is composed by the renowned Nikolla Zoraqi (1929-1992)
and the choreography is that of maestro Agron Aliaj.
Speaking about the ballet, the director Mihal Luarasi has stated: “[Agron
Aliaj] has given a lot the ballet through his creations, but here he
comes to us through a new, contemporary and modern choreography, because
this is the only level accepted today in the world stage. The stage,
costumes and the technique were perfect. The large projections we saw,
the new combinations … we of a very high quality.”
